?Are you happy birthday girl
Are you happy birthday girl?
Yeah, I believe I am.
Like honestly, genuinely happy?
That never happens. I’m Iranian and would never know what a genuinely happy person looks like.
How so?
It’s like you have a close family member struggling with stage four cancer. You know she’ll never win over, but you keep cheering and grieving for her at the very same time. You may forget the pain often, but it’s never gone. It’s there. It bothers you, following you like a shadow. You know she’s dying, and you don’t want to accept. You see a big part of you shrinking and getting bald and wanna die yourself, but you can’t. You won’t! You’re doomed to be partially happy, always and forever. No amount of alcohol or drugs will wash it over. But yeah! To answer your question, I believe I was happy last night. With the picture of my dear family member in pain, screaming, and gradually fading away.
I'm glad you were happy last night, but I have to run. My friend is going through chemotherapy too.
